KABULPeace marchers from Afghanistans volatile southern Helmand provincewho arrived in Kabul on Monday after walking for 37 daysstaged sit-ins in front of several international diplomatic missions, including the U.S. embassy, demanding an end to the Afghan war.

The marchers covered a distance of about 450 miles, carrying a message of peace, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The participants, all men, were as old as 65 and as young as 17.
